MONDRAKER ENDURO TEAM in Davos: 150 mountain bike teams celebrate trails and international community
From 4 to 6 September 2025, the international enduro mountain bike scene met for the ninth time in Davos Klosters in Graubünden for MONDRAKER ENDURO TEAM, a race for teams with a maximum fun factor. In very changeable weather, ranging from summer to snowfall, and impressive mountain panoramas, nearly 450 participants in some 150 teams enjoyed the alpine racing ad¬venture on the first-class trails around the destination of Davos Klosters and cultivated the exceptional camaraderie of the international mountain bike community.
First-class trails and mountain panoramas at their best – the international field of participants was once again impressed by the race and the Davos Klosters region. And this despite the fact that the freaky weather conditions on the second day pushed many to their limits. Sudden rain, hail and finally even snowfall in the upper areas not only resulted in freezing cold hands and spectacular images, but also led to the cancellation of the last stage of the day for safety reasons – everything on Gotschna was covered in white... But that didn't dampen the good mood – on the contrary! “We will all remember this day for a lifetime!” countless riders laughed. “And experiencing something like this as a team really brings us together!” was the unanimous verdict. The trails around Davos Klosters and the fantastic alpine backdrop were once again received very well – especially on the first and third day, which were blessed with sunshine and almost summer temperatures. “The trails here are simply magical, an absolute blast!” a rookie says enthusiastically. “Plus this alpine backdrop, the great atmosphere and a perfect organisation with a lot of passion! We'll definitely be back!” In addition, there was once again an exceptionally large number of returnees. “We even have riders who have been at every edition of MONDRAKER ENDURO TEAM, so this time it’s their 9th participation,” says organiser Britta Wild from the Bike Academy Davos. “They will be invited to the 10th event next year – as we definitely want to reward such loyalty! Plus, there will also be a few other surprises for the anniversary.”
Like an annual family reunion
The nearly 450 participants from 16 nations, divided into some 150 teams, rode 12 stages, measured sections, over the three days on their bikes. On the transfer stages, often supported by mountain railways, the time was stopped and the riders enjoyed the impressive alpine scenery and chatted with bikers from other countries. Many have known and seen each other here for years: “It's almost like an annual family reunion”, says organizer Britta Wild from the Bike Academy Davos. “The extremely loyal field of participants and the many returnees are the best compliment for us.”
Exciting Race
Even though it is a fun event, it was an exciting race this time too. In the Men's category, the favourites ROCKY MOUNTAIN / CUBE Collective with Gustav Wildhaber and Tim Bratschi took the title with a time of 1h 05min 19sec. Second place went to the very young team Alpha Duo with Mika Mayr and Tom Gätzi, a good two minutes behind, ahead of Team Lazze and Robster with Lasse Eschler and Robin Janser in third place.
In the women's category, Melanie Zehnder and Andrea Richiger, competing as team Gratis Ürnerpastetä, defended their first place with a time of 1h 33min 00sec. The battle for second place was finally won by Jessi Muri and Sarah Pascale from Lucerne, Team ChickenRun, a good minute ahead of team Bis eini briäled with Angela Gisler and Valeria Püntener.
In the 77+ category, there were once again many top teams at the start and they delivered an exciting race. Victory went to team Riders Choice with former bike marathon pro Nicola Rohrbach and Urs Pargmann, just 3 seconds ahead of team Equipe de course Saint-Gall with Patrice Fuchs and Patrick Blatter. Third place went to team SchwibbogenVatis with Jan Pfeilschifter and Nico Hunger.
The race in the mixed category was won by the local Mission BikeFix team with Matteo Manno and Pierina Beeli, a good four minutes ahead of the VC Bellinzona Enduro Team with Claudia Grassi and Loris Pellencini. Third place went to team Lauch und Bauch with Pascale and Dany Häfliger.
In the FUN TEAMS category, which has now been organized for the sixth time, team D Zebraschlecker Innerschwyz took the win, ahead of the Mudriders Racing Team and team Nerduro Triad.
Despite the sometimes tough fights on the track, everyone agrees: winning is secondary at this fun team event – because the main prize simply is a big grin on everyone’s face. And this time, too, they all got it.
Volunteers – the soul of the event
Once again it was a fantastic mountain bike festival! The biggest thanks go to the nearly 60 volunteers, without whom the race could not be held. “They are the soul of our event and well known in the community”, explains race director Michi Wild from the Bike Academy Davos. “We are a very well-coordinated team! Many of them take a week's holiday every year to volunteer here. That’s far beyond of what we can expect”, he says. “The mountain railways Davos Klosters Mountains, who actually make the event possible thanks to their dense transport network, have also supported us great again!”
